WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

‘The Algarve Smoke Company’ is a family run cottage business which produces artesian Smoked Garlic, Smoked Chili, Smoked Salt plus Smoked Seasonings and Black Garlic. It is also home to ‘The Algarve Smoke Supper Club’; a reservation only ‘pop-up’ private eatery, serving American Cowboy BBQ, Authentic Mexican and ethnic ‘Soul Food/Cajun’ from the Deep South of the USA. We serve up to 40-guests/members in a casual, outdoor, ‘cowboy-style” setting and offer a well-laid country table surrounded with good music plus the conversations and chuckles of interesting folks.

ALGARVE SMOKE

We are the only Portuguese owned business which creates and commercially markets Organic Cold Smoked Garlic, Salt and Black Garlic. We exclusively use fresh, locally grown, organic, hand harvested ingredients from Portugal. The wood we burn for smoking comes from sustainable local woodlands and orchards. The organic solar sea-salt is hand-harvested from the Tavira salt pans and the Chilis and Garlic are either grown on our own lands or sourced from local micro-farms. We smoke using a combination of Olive; Almond Wood & Carob pods mixed with the leaves of Rosemary and Bay Laurel and ‘cold’ smoke for a minimum of 48-hours.

Algarve Smoke follows internationally recognized standards for Healthy & Safety, is committed to use locally resourced organic products and supports micro farmers here in The Algarve and Portugal. Algarve Smoke donates a percentage of its earnings to support local charitable initiatives.

Deborah comes from a matriarchal line of international good cooks. She loves cooking like she loves breathing air. In a beautiful rural Algarve hilltop she creates and serves family-style-neighborhood-family meals. The UNESCO Mediterranean Diet principle is infused into these uniquely American cuisines.
